A worried mom called 911 just before 7 am to ask for help checking on her adult daughter. She told officers the woman had been ill and wasn’t answering knocks on her bedroom door. The door was locked, and the mother couldn’t get in.

Medics from the Portsmouth Fire Department responded and forced the door open. Unfortunately, EMTS discovered the woman was deceased.
Officers sent for the Coroner’s Office, and a transport took possession of the deceased.
