A married couple spent their Friday night helping themselves to various items at the South Point Walmart.
Loss prevention employees told deputies they’d watched a pair come in together, but then went their separate ways and helped themselves to multiple items before walking past the cash register and out of the building.
Police found multiple items stuffed in the man’s pockets and clothing and other items concealed on the woman.
They told officers they were married and expecting a baby. Police transported both husband and wife to the Lawrence County Jail.
Officers returned the next afternoon when a pair of women stuffed their pants and purses with stolen items. Officers said these thieves were well known and had previously been busted at the Ashland Walmart.
Police arrested Chastity Mitchell and Rosa Hamrick and took them to the Lawrence County Jail.
