A little good news involving a child in the custody of CPS for a change. A representative of a Michigan Child Protective Services agency asked the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to check on a child who lived with a guardian in Union Township.
The worker hadn’t been able to contact the guardian recently and wanted deputies to perform a welfare check.
Deputies couldn’t make contact at the residence, but they headed over to the child’s school and spoke with the boy and his teachers.
The boy said he was fine and had no problems at home. Teachers told officers his attendance and behavior were fine as well.
