Officers responded to multiple reports of living situations gone bad over the weekend.
A fed-up daughter contacted Portsmouth Police after she said her father had fallen back into some bad habits. The woman told officers she’d allowed him to stay in her PMHA apartment for the past year, but things had taken a bad turn.
She told officers her father had relapsed into drug addiction and was refusing to leave the apartment. She claimed he was making strange comments and threatened to harm her if she kicked him out. However, the man left the home before officers arrived.
Another PMHA resident had a problem with a houseguest in Farley Square. She told police she allowed a woman to stay with her for two weeks, but got fed up and kicked her out. She said the woman broke into her apartment and stole her cat and its crate. Officers spoke to both parties and took information for a report.
A 4th Street man contacted officers after his sister refused to leave his house. However, he admitted that she did stay there on and off and had property at the home. Officers advised him on the process of getting a protection order.
