The teen wanted in connection with the weekend death of a Wheelersburg man has turned himself in to the police.
Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman said that Aden Greene turned himself in to authorities at 12:30 pm on Thursday. Green was accompanied by his mother and his attorneys.
Law enforcement issued multiple arrest warrants for Greene in connection with the death of Chase Mcquinley, 20.
Just after 1 am, on Saturday, a witness called 9-1-1 to report a shooting at an Aaron Road address in Portsmouth. The caller said the shooter shot a man during a party and fled the scene.
Deputies, detectives, and medics responded to the home. Despite the best efforts of medics, Mcquinley died at the scene.
Investigators called in the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and began interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene.
Investigators launched a search for Portsmouth resident Aden Greene in connection with the shooting. Officers said Green should be considered armed and dangerous and warned the public not to approach him.
There were several sightings of Greene over the next few days, but officers had been unable to locate him until he turned himself in. The court ordered Greene to be held in jail until his next court appearance.
Sheriff Thoroughman said the investigation is ongoing and encouraged anyone with information to contact Detective Sergeant Jodi Conkel at 740-351-1091.
