Daughter Arrested For Choking Mom

Increasingly, officers are called in to deal with children assaulting their parents. PPD responded to two cases on Tuesday. 

The first involved a teen in the in the midst of a mental health crisis. Just after 10 a.m., a woman told officers her child had threatened her with a hatchet.  

She said the child’s problems stemmed from a history of abuse at the hands of another parent and she wanted help. After consulting with the child’s counselors, medics transported the troubled juvenile to the hospital for treatment.  

The second was an adult child was arrested after a reported attack on her mother about an hour later. The mom called police to say her daughter choked and pushed her.  

Police took 25-year-old Miranda Clary into custody for domestic violence and booked her into the Scioto County Jail.
