Delores Stowe, age 74, of Wheelersburg, passed away on December 7, 2025, at SOMC ER. She was born on May 21, 1951, in Jemison, Alabama, to Marvin and Vassie (Ray) Smith.
Delores built her career as a Nuclear Tech at the former A Plant, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits—sewing, cooking, and sharing time with her family. Her greatest delight was being with her grandchildren, especially her beloved Brandi, with whom she shared a special bond.
She is survived by her son, Nicholas Stowe of Wheelersburg; her daughters, Veronica Stowe (Rudy) Gomez of Virginia and Melody Stowe of Wheelersburg; her sister, Diane Melton of Biloxi, MS; and her cherished grandchildren, Brandi, Maddison, and Liara Stowe, and Jonathan Gomez.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, James Stowe; her brother, David Smith; and her sister, Daphine Varden.
Delores will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and the unwavering love she held for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
