An area crisis center called the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, saying they had a kid in crisis on the line. The child said her mother had come home and become aggressive toward the kids. The child also said there was a gun in the house that no one had access to.
Officers headed to the home and found an agitated woman and two children. They said the woman didn’t want to talk to them. Deputies also noted that one of the children showed signs of abuse. Officers contacted CPS and took the woman into custody.
CPS sent for the children’s grandmother to take care of them for the night and said they would follow up on the situation in the morning.
Officers took the woman into custody and transported her to the Scioto County Jail.
