Scioto County first responders handled 54 calls on Tuesday. Here are some of the highlights.
Kids in Danger: At 12:30 am, they conducted a welfare check on a female and her children at Kelli Apartments. The children were found to be in good health.
At 11 am, they accompanied CPS on a home visit and assisted workers with the emergency removal of children from a home in Lucasville.
Officers and EMS responded to a Wheelersburg home for a kid in crisis who had made some disturbing statements. An officer followed the ambulance with the child inside the hospital and spoke to relatives about their options for getting help.
Emergency Squad Needed: Multiple calls for medical assistance, including a 74-year-old female with a high heart rate and dehydration, a 57-year-old female, and a 59-year-old male unresponsive and cold to touch.
Traffic Offenses: Several traffic-related incidents, including warnings for equipment violations and consent to search vehicles.
Officers took a man with an open warrant into custody after a traffic stop on Rhodes Avenue. They took the driver to jail and arranged for someone to come pick up the vehicle.
Theft in Progress: Two men shoplifted from a store on Gallia Pike.
Juvenile Complaint: A female juvenile was picked up and transported to the South Central Ohio Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
Civil Process: Various civil processes, including serving paperwork and investigating complaints.
Suspicious Vehicle: Reports of a suspicious vehicle driving slowly through neighborhoods and pulling into driveways.
