A man experiencing a mental health crisis kept deputies busy overnight.
Just after 3 am, he called them to his Lucasville home. He claimed he was forced to flee the house because he heard people inside making plans against him, though he was not actually able to see them.
Officers discovered the man did have warrants from other counties, but not were close enough that law enforcement wanted to come pick him up. There was also a note in his records that police should be cautious due to violent tendencies, possible mental health issues, and drug trafficking.
He asked deputies to stand by while he grabbed some belongings from his house. He got his things and his dog and officers escorted him to the intersection of Blue Road Road and Millers Run Back Run Road.
However, he called for help again just before 5 am. This time he reported three men at a church were yelling obscenities at him.
A deputy investigated and found no one at the church. They also checked all of the places the man reported people were after him, but there was no one there. Police dropped the man off back at his house and secured his dog to its tether.
