A Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputy found themselves literally caught in the middle of a domestic dispute just after 5 am.

A caller reported their other half was destroying the house and walking around with a machete. When police arrived, they advised the pair to separate so they could speak to them individually.

However, the pair kept yelling at each other, despite the officer getting between them in an attempt to keep them separate.

Police said the female half was uncooperative and that there really wasn’t a crime as the man was breaking his own stuff in the house.

The woman agreed to leave for a few hours. Officers took information for a report.

Police were called back to the home 4 hours later by the woman, who complained that the man was calling her names and tearing up the house. The man left before police arrived.

At 10:42 am, the woman reported the man had returned and threatened to kill her with a BB gun. She said she destroyed the BB gun and hit it in the back of the house.

The woman did not want to press charges; she just wanted officers to make the man calm down.

Police explained to the man that if he wanted the woman out of the home, he would need to file an eviction.
