Disturbing Incident at Local High School
A worried parent contacted officers about some disturbing behavior in the bathroom of an area high school.
They said their child and a fellow student were using the bathroom when some older students came in and took pictures of them while they were using the toilet facilities.
The parents said the incident had been reported to school authorities, but they were not calling back.
Woman Reports Being Held Hostage in Wheelersburg
Just before 2:30 pm, Portsmouth Police received a call from an elderly woman who claimed she was being held hostage at a Wheelersburg address. She told dispatch “he was coming back,” then hung up the phone.
PPD forwarded the report to The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office. When investigators tried to call back the number the call came from, it came up as unavailable.
Deputies headed to the address to investigate and spoke to everyone in the home. They said they’d just returned home, there was no one there, and they didn’t recognize the phone number.
