There’s a big problem in the area with dogs running loose, despite laws that require people to keep them under control. You’ll recall that a dog bite incident last week led to a man being transferred to a Columbus Hospital for further treatment.
On Friday morning, witnesses contacted police to report that aggressive dogs kept jumping in and out of a busted window at a Union Street home and chasing after people who were trying to run or walk down the street.
Animal control responded and got the dogs back into the house. Officers also called in Code Enforcement to check on the condition of the home.
This case was especially concerning because of the proximity to the nearby schools.
