1. Dogs Rescued on Swauger Valley Road
At 1:30 pm, a Swauger Valley Road caller reported that the neighbor’s vicious dog was running loose. When a deputy responded to investigate, they discovered three dogs in a pen with no shelter, food, or water and immediately contacted the Dog Warden.
The Dog Warden advised deputies that since the dogs were in a pen and not running loose, they needed to call the humane agent, though the dog warden did bring food for the animals.
When the humane agent arrived, the fixed the pen and said she would find homes for the animals.
2. Family Searches For Missing Child
A Scioto County family got quite a scare on Friday afternoon when they could not locate their child who had been playing in the yard.
The family searched the area, and deputies headed to the scene. Fortunately, the father located the child at a neighbor’s house before deputies arrived.
