Donald was born on January 2, 1943, and died on September 1, 2024, at his home in South Webster, Ohio
He was the elder son of the late Clarence and Pauline DeBord Lewis.
He is survived buy his wife of 61 years, Nancy Mault Lewis and a son Gregory (Genie) Lewis of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Dillan and Daylor Lewis, Rylee, Emmalee and Jolee Maynard.
Other survivors include his brother, Michael (Leda) Lewis of Wheelersburg, Ohio as well as in-laws Bob and Ruth Hanes and Pattie and Ike Hilterbrand of Fort Pierce, FL, Ed and Pam Mault of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Dale Bauer of South Webster, OH; nieces, Sheila Hanes Miesse and Jodi (Dayne) Bauer Pitts; nephews, Bob (Jill) Hanes Jr, David Fletcher, Ed Edinger, Mark (Tammy) Fletcher, Eric Hilterbrand, Adam (Tia) Bauer and Danny (Kristie) Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by Paul and Jean (Mault) Fletcher and Sharon (Mault) Bauer.
He was a 1960 graduate of South Webster High School and retired from the New Boston Coke in 1985.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran (1962-1965) and was a past member of the South Webster Fire Department. He was active in scouting and youth baseball as well. He was a former member of the Lunker Hunters Bass Club.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in South Webster, with Pastor Merit Smith officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 Noon to 2 PM prior to the services. Interment will follow at a later date at South Webster Cemetery.
