Donut Prompts Call to Police
Just after noon, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office relayed a call to PPD regarding a suspicious discovery near Bickett Machine & Gas Supply on Robinson.
The caller reported a mysterious white powdery substance in a bag next to a pole. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered the remains of a donut.

About an hour later, a caller reported a bag of drug paraphernalia in an alley behind a doctor’s office on 11th Street. Officers discovered a bag of plastic pieces, but no drug paraphernalia.
At 1:19 pm, a report of a bag of drug paraphernalia at Speedway turned out to be the real thing. Police disposed of the syringes in a sharps container.
