Drug Raid Turns Into Police Chase – 5 Arrested

Four individuals are behind bars, thanks to the help of a K9 Officer after a drug raid on Wednesday.

The Sheriffs of Pike, Scioto, & Lawrence County teamed up with the Portsmouth, Ironton, and New Boston Police and the Portsmouth and Chillicothe SWAT teams to raid a home on Fairview Road in Peebles.

Officers found large amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, cash, and firearms at the scene and took Gene Dreher, David Irvin, and Jeremiah Dreher into custody.

While officers were on the scene, a wanted man, Clinton Keaton, drove up. When deputies stopped him, he fled on foot.

Officers took his passenger, Miranda Janes, into custody. Officers spotted Keaton running into the woods near a sawmill.

Ironton Police deployed K9 Officer Ike, and they quickly caught up with Keaton and took him into custody on outstanding warrants. When police searched Keaton’s car, they found meth, Xanax, and scales.

This case is still under investigation and will be presented to a future Pike County Grand Jury session for consideration of additional charges.
