Drunk & Disorderly at the Donut Distillery
Just after 11 pm, an employee of the Donut Distillery on Chillicothe Street reported that an extremely intoxicated man was attempting to fight with people and causing the disturbance. Witnesses also reported that the intoxicated man was trying to get into his vehicle and leave the scene.
When officers arrived at the scene, the man did not go quietly. Police took him into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. They also trespassed him from the property. The court set his bond at $1150.
Homeless Men Throw Down Over Blessing Box
Just after 9 pm on Saturday night, officers responded to Tracy Park for a report of two men yelling and shoving each other.
When police arrived on the scene, they spoke to witnesses sitting at a picnic table who were able to fill them in on what happened.
They said two homeless men were arguing over food in the blessing box. However, they left the scene before the police arrived.
Man Arrested for 39th Time After Report of Meth Use
Just after 8:30 am on Sunday, police responded to a 7th Street home after a witness reported that a man with open warrants was using meth.
Police took 37-year-old Richard Cade into custody for the 38th time on charges of assault and failure to appear.
This was his 39th trip to the Scioto County Jail. Previous arrests include assault, parole violation, obstructing official business, breaking and entering, burglary, receiving stolen property, theft, drug possession, theft of a firearm, and domestic violence.
Bail was set at $5,000.
Pair Busted on Drug Charges in Findlay Street Parking Lot
A man and a woman ended up behind bars after an early morning report of suspicious activity in the parking lot of Alexandria House.
Witnesses said a black car had been parked in a no-parking zone by the dumpster with the headlights on for 90 minutes.
When police arrived on the scene, they took a man and a woman into custody. Officers charged 44-year-old Brigette Burge with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of criminal tools. Bond was set at $1750.
Police charged 37-year-old Jon Salley with obstructing official business and possession of drug abuse instruments. His bond was also set at $1750.
