Some shady characters tried to pass fake money at the Family Dollar on 11th Street.
In addition to the funny money, the pair also made off with two bags of merchandise. That crime was caught on camera. Officers took information for a report and told the store to contact them if the pair returned.

Another counterfeit bill turned up at Brain Freeze on 2nd Street later in the day. Employees reported the incident and destroyed the bill.
A man contacted police after the clerk at the Sunoco station took his $20 bill ad said it was fake. The man later discovered his sister found the money on the ground earlier in the day.
