Caring family members and local police came to the aid of a man in crisis. Police were first made aware of the situation when the man’s sister told them he’d sent her a Facebook message saying that he was ready to end it all. She was worried since he’d stopped responding to her calls.
Police and an ambulance headed to the scene, but the man denied planning to harm himself. He told officers life had been difficult lately. He refused medical treatment.
However, the sister called back an hour later to say he said he planned to go join their late mother. The sister rushed to the scene from out of town, and when officers and medics returned, he admitted that he had stated he planned to harm himself.
An ambulance transported him to the hospital for treatment.
