Gaynelle Bond, 72, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Bond was born December 27, 1950, in Louisa, Kentucky, a daughter to the late Roy and Atha (Riggs) Christian. She is survived by her husband, James A. Bond, whom she married on August 14, 1982.
Mrs. Bond graduated in 1969 from Wayne High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene in Ironton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Christian.
Those left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her three daughters, Tracey (Greg) Dillard of Wilmington, North Carolina, Kristi (Ryan) Darnell of Ironton, Ohio, and Carrie (Nathan) Webb of Worthington, Kentucky. Also, her grandchildren, Alexis Dillard of Wilmington, North Carolina, Tyler (Becca) Darnell of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Zach Dillard, of Wilmington North Carolina, Cameron (Cassidy) Webb of Worthington, Kentucky, Trevor (Allie) Darnell of Ironton, Ohio and Macie Webb of Worthington, Kentucky and her sister Connie (Monk) Watts of South Point. Her memory will also be treasured by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be 12:30 P.M., Friday, June 30, 2023, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2318 S 4th St, Ironton, Ohio, with Pastor Rob Hale officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in South Point, Ohio. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
