A good neighbor and an officer came to the aid of a High Street man after the neighbor called police around 3 pm. The neighbor said he hadn’t seen the man for three days and no one was coming to the door. He feared something had happened to his neighbor.

When an officer arrived for a welfare check, they spotted the man lying on his kitchen floor and called for the Portsmouth Fire Department. Medics were able to force entry and rushed the man to the hospital for treatment.
The officer secured all the doors of the home before leaving the scene.
