Just before 2 p.m., he contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and asked them to check on a neighbor because he hadn’t seen her outside in over a week.

A deputy responded and looked in the windows, but couldn’t see anything. They contacted a relative of the woman and asked if they could let them in.
Once inside, the deputy discovered the woman alive but going in and out of consciousness. She appeared not to have eaten in quite some time. A family member took the woman to the hospital for treatment.
