A Portsmouth grandpa landed behind bars after a witness told officers they saw a man choking a woman on a Gallia Street porch.
The witness said he confronted the man, and he left, but now the victim wanted to file a police report.
Portsmouth officers took the man into custody but did wait for the man’s granddaughter to come retrieve his truck to ensure its safety.
