Goodwill is glad to accept your donations of clothes, household goods, and books but they really don’t want your firearms and medications.
Officers were called to an area Goodwill after workers discovered a firearm in the donation box. They said they don’t accept weapons and asked Lawrence County Deputies to please take the gun. The deputy also observed a pill bottle with the name of the person it was prescribed to on it and a journal belonging to another person.

Officers impounded those items as well and attempted to contact the owners to confirm they were not stolen.
