A manager at the Portsmouth McDonald’s contacted Portsmouth Police at 10:17 am to report a disturbing threat by a former employee.
She said an employee quit the restaurant and threatened to go get a gun, then come back and shoot everyone.
Officers caught up with the man at 8th and Broadway and took him back to McDonald’s where he received a letter barring him from the property. PPD then arrested him for inducing panic and booked him into the Scioto County Jail. This was the 24-year-old’s first visit to the jail.
Panhandler Harasses Kroger Customers
At 8:30 pm, Portsmouth Police Officer responded to a report of an aggressive panhandler at the Kroger on Gay Street.
Witness described him as a tall, bald male in a gray shirt. They said he was bothering women in the parking lot and asking for change.
Officers caught up with the man at 8th and Chillicothe. He told them he lived nearby at Hudson House Apartments. Police advised him not to panhandle and sent him on his way.
