High Speed Chase on St. Rte 104
A traffic stop turned into a high-speed chase on Wednesday night. Right around 9:20 pm, a deputy stopped a maroon Mustang on St. Rte 104 near Country Club Drive.
When the deputy got out of her cruiser, the vehicle took off, hitting speeds of over 90 miles an hour. The driver eventually turned onto Dry Run Road in West Portsmouth and wrecked.

The driver took off, leaving behind a female passenger. The woman told officers she was on parole. Police contacted her parole officer and called a squad to take her to the hospital.
