Injury Accident on St. Rte 73 – Not Enough Ambulances
There were more patients in need of help than available ambulances after a wreck on St. Rte 73 just before 7 pm.
EMS and OSP responded to the scene. The fire department requested an additional squad, but none were available, so dispatch contacted Portsmouth Ambulance, and they dispatched personnel to the scene.
Medics requested an air ambulance, and first responders set up a landing zone at Singleton Park.
There was a delay in the Portsmouth Ambulance squad response, due to crews being out on other calls, but eventually, three Portsmouth Ambulance squads and another fire department squad responded to the scene.
One patient was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital via air ambulance.
Illegal Garbage Dumpers Leave Mail With Their Address Behind
Staff at a Wheelersburg office contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report that someone had filled up their dumpster with trash and left an important clue behind. The careless folks had left mail with their address on it among the trash.
Officers responded to the dumper’s residence and spoke to them about illegally using other people’s dumpsters. They promised they would stop.
