Investigation After Caller Asks 911 For Pizza
Just after 1:30 am on Valentine’s day a caller contacted 911 and requested a special pizza. Since asking 911 for pizza is known as a way to get help without others realizing you’re making the call, deputies responded to the scene.
The caller told them everything was fine, apologized, and said they did not need help. However, officers did stay close to the scene and offered to clear the residence and also spoke to the caller in private before leaving the scene.
Man Does Meth – Disappears Into Woods
Just after 7:30 am, a worried mom contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report a disturbing incident with her son.
She said that around 1:30 am the night before, her son used meth and then ran into the woods behind Lett Terrace without shoes.
The mom decided to search the area for her missing son, and a deputy also drove around to assist in the search. The mother could not locate him and decided to file a missing persons report.
Bloody Rocks Reported on St. Rt. 125
Deputies responded to St. Rt. 125 after a caller reported finding rocks covered in blood. The witness said there was blood spatter on a jagged rock as well as the surrounding bricks and foliage. The witness sent photos of the scene to the Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the scene to investigate and determined that the substance was not consistent with blood. In fact, they said it appeared to be cranberry sauce. No further investigation was needed.
Caller Reports Drugs in Amazon Package
Around 7 pm, a Scioto County resident contacted the Sheriff’s Office to report a suspicious discovery inside an Amazon Package.
The caller said that when they opened a package, they discovered a white crystal-like substance they believed to be some type of narcotic. The caller said they’d secured the item in a trash bag and wanted a deputy to respond.
When deputies responded to the scene, they discovered that the substance in question was packing material.
