James Lee “Jim” Combs, 61, of Piketon, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born June 29, 1960, in Portsmouth, Ohio to Charles and Thelma Skeens Combs of Chillicothe, Ohio. On July 29, 1980, he was united in marriage to Anna Newkirk Combs who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Melody (Danny Wicker, Jr.) Combs of Piketon and Angela (Nick Stone) Combs of Piketon; grandchildren, James Rinehart, Bella Roosa, David Roosa, and Scarlett Stone; brothers, JR Combs of Chillicothe, Mitch (Jamie) Combs of Waverly and Matt Combs of Waverly; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, and uncles. Jim was preceded in death by a brother, GE Combs.
Jim was employed by McConkey Auto Parts for many years and more recently worked for Accurate Heating and Cooling. His biggest passion was music. He loved playing guitar and also loved riding his motorcycle.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
