Javier Luna Guatemala, age 36, went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 20, 2022.
Javier was born in Ayotzintepec, OAX, Mexico to Ernesto Luna Mendoza and Emilia Guatemala Marin. Javier was an avid traveler who enjoyed music and spending time with his friends and family. He loved soccer and working in a restaurant as a cook, most recently at Toro Loco.
He is survived by his parents Ernesto and Emilia Luna, four sisters: Lydia, Berta, Veronica, and Levita, and nine brothers: Jacob, Ignacio, Antonio, Ernesto, Nicholas, Gilberto, Benardino, Charlie, and Jose Luna.
Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with Funeral Mass immediately following at 7:00 PM, all at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Gallia Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
Donations may be made directly to FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662, for the Funeral Mass and final return to Mexico.
