Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a troubling situation on US 52 just after 6 pm. A caller said three kids showed up at her door saying they’d jumped from their abusive father’s car. The children said they were from out of town.

When officers arrived to investigate, they learned the children possibly lived nearby with their grandmother. The grandmother showed up at the scene, and police began to search for the father’s vehicle.
Officers also contacted CPS. When police caught up with the man, he told police the children’s grandmother already had custody of the kids. Police took information for a report.
