A McConnell Avenue caller asked police to walk her to her home from her car because a woman known to have mental health issues was hanging around nearby. Police advised the troubled woman to move along and the caller was able to go into her home.
Suspicious Rental Situation
Officers responded to a suspicious rental situation on Lincoln Street right before 6 pm. A woman told police she’d rented a home off a woman named Donna and that she’d been working on the home. However, she said when she came to the house, she found a male squatter there.
The man told police he was renting the home from Donna in exchange for working on it. He had a piece of paper from Donna detailing the rental agreement. The paper was not notarized and neither party had a phone number for Donna.
Police said they would continue to attempt to find the homeowner.
Man Cuffed After Argonne Road Domestic
Police responded to a report of a disturbance on Argonne Road just before 7 pm. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the argument was not physical, one person had thrown a t-shirt at another.
Police said the man got aggressive with them and refused to listen to reason. Police handcuffed him and advised him that this kind of fighting was not good for children.
The man’s mother came to help him calm down and the police eventually released him. He said he would spend the night with his mom.
Kids on a Rampage
A 2nd Street caller told police 15 juveniles were running wild and destroying property just before 9 pm. This was not the first time an incident like this had happened in the area.
