Letter to the Editor: Leftist Tim Ryan is Wrong for Scioto County

Most Scioto County residents will pay more in taxes next year thanks to recent legislation backed by U.S. Senate candidate Tim Ryan. Despite record inflation and an economic recession caused by the incompetency of the Democrat party, Tim Ryan is moving full steam ahead with his war on Southern Ohio’s working class.

Union workers, middle-class families, and everyday people trying to make a living in Scioto County have already felt the economic pains caused by Biden/Ryan inflation. Gas and food prices have skyrocketed, taking money out of the pockets of working-class Americans and making it harder for them to make ends meet. Tim Ryan’s solution is to take even more of your hard-earned dollars.

While Tim Ryan’s socialist economic policies have hurt Southern Ohio, his open-border stance on immigration has been equally damaging. The opioids flowing into our community through our country’s southern border have devastated countless families. Instead of fighting to secure our borders and prevent the poisoning of Ohio communities, Tim Ryan has done everything in his power to oppose border security and promote the unrestricted flow of fentanyl, heroin, and meth into Ohio.

Thank God we have another candidate for U.S. Senate this November.

Republican J.D. Vance is running for U.S. Senate to help take back our country from leftist elites like Tim Ryan who have continuously opposed the interests of everyday Ohioans—especially Southern Ohioans. Vance is a father, a husband, a former Marine, a businessman, and the author of Hillbilly Elegy.

Like many of us in Southern Ohio, J.D. has felt the pain of having a family member suffer from addiction. J.D. is the only candidate for U.S. Senate that has extensively addressed this issue on the campaign trail. He’s visited Scioto County on numerous occasions over the past year to talk with members of our community about the issues we face. In each visit, he has discussed the opioid crisis with citizens who have been impacted.

We need a leader that will fight for everyday Southern Ohioans and oppose the socialist policies of Tim Ryan and the Democrat Party. We need J.D. Vance for U.S. Senate.

I hope you will join me in voting for J.D. Vance on November 8th.
