Pulling into traffic on Gallia can be difficult on a good day. Those who have gone to Little Ceasars know that the retaining wall makes for a very dangerous exit.
That was the case on Thursday night. A driver pulling a trailer was attempting to pull into traffic when they were struck by a small car.
Traffic was interrupted for some time as crews cleaned up the mess. Both vehicles were impounded by PPD. One person was taken to SOMC for evaluation.
Driver Mistakes Gas For Brake, Crashes Into Building
A driver made a rookie mistake and ended up crashing in the Portsmouth Vision Center just after 2 pm.
The driver said they were trying to pull into a parking spot when they accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The car crashed into the support column for the front overhang, then backed up and hit a red Dodge parked next to it.
Since it was a private property crash with no injuries, officers didn’t need to file a report.
