Lost Soul Leaves Rehab – Lands on Streets of Portsmouth
Just before 4 am, Portsmouth Officers discovered a Kentucky man standing inside the wash bay of a car wash at 11th and Offnere Streets. He explained he was standing there to get out of the cold. An officer explained it was private property and advised him to move along.
About 10 minutes after officers wrapped up that call, a man flagged down another officer at the same location and asked how to get to New Boston. He said he had walked out of treatment at a local rehab center and realized he’d made a mistake. The officer tried to contact the rehab center but couldn’t get in touch with anyone at 4 am.
High as a Kite on Kittle Road
A woman under the influence of drugs exhibited some bizarre behavior on Kittle Road.
At 9 am, a caller reported that an extremely high woman was under the impression he’d stolen her car keys and was headed towards his house with a baseball bat.
Ten minutes later, another caller said the woman flagged him down but didn’t report a baseball bat.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the woman dancing in the middle of the street. She was holding a flashlight but later dropped it.
The woman’s father contacted officers and said that she’d broken the lock on his residence.
Officers sent for the rescue squad, and the woman wanted to put her things back in her car before she left. At that time she discovered her car keys.
An ambulance transported her for treatment.
