A Lucasville man accidentally shot himself while searching home for a burglar.
The man’s wife called 9-1-1 just before 6 am to say her husband thought someone was in their home, and when he went searching with his gun, he accidentally shot himself in the foot.
Medics and officers responded to the home and called for an air ambulance to take the man to the hospital. A landing zone was set up at the Lucasville Library, and medics transported the man via ambulance to meet the chopper.
