Lucasville Woman Kidnapped – Rescued After Police Chase

Officers arrested two men after a Lucasville woman reported an abduction on Friday afternoon. Just after 3 pm, a Lucasville called Pike County 911. Dispatch heard the woman screaming  “You are holding me hostage!” in the background and stayed on the line until they determined the call was coming from the area of Jasper Elementary in Piketon.

Pike Deputies and Waverly Police Officers responded to the scene immediately. A witness flagged them down and said that Jerry Parsons II had assaulted a woman and forced her into his car. The witness provided a description of the vehicle, and Pike County notified surrounding law enforcement agencies and the Ohio State Patrol.

Troopers located the suspect vehicle on Fog Road and attempted to stop it, but the driver fled. Officers used spikes in the area of Germany and Owl Creek Road. The spikes slowed the vehicle down and Pike Deputies along with Waverly and Piketon officers pursued the vehicle onto dead-end Vance Road where they were able to stop the vehicle.

Officers took the driver, 33-year-old Andrew Workman of Chillicothe and passenger 21-year-old Jerry Parsons of Waverly into custody and rescued the Lucasville woman from the situation.

Officers arrested Workman on outstanding warrants for disobeying police and felony trafficking in meth as well as fleeing and eluding. Jerry Parsons II was arrested and charged with M-1 Assault and F-3 Abduction.

Workman has been arrested 10 times on charges including multiple charges of breaking and entering, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and petty theft.

Parsons was arrested last summer for domestic violence.

Both men were booked into the Scioto County Jail.
