Just before 12:30 a.m., PPD officers responded to Waller Street for a report someone had assaulted a male with a knife.
Medics and PPD responded to the scene and transported the victim to SOMC. Officers also had a conference with a CPS worker to discuss the situation.
Police took a man into custody for domestic violence.
