Just after 7 a.m., an employee of the Kroger Gas on 9th Street said a man and a woman were sitting on the bench near the store and that the man had yelled at the woman and hit her. The woman walked up to the window and said the man assaulted and robbed her.
She said she had a protection order against the man. Officers caught up with the man in Tracy Park and took him into custody.
The man, Tim Slone, has previously been arrested for resisting arrest, violating a protection order, obstructing official business, disorderly conduct, petty theft, and domestic violence.
