Woman Raises a Ruckus in West Portsmouth
An older lady with an open warrant raised a ruckus in West Portsmouth early Friday morning. She first showed up at an assisted living facility around 5:30 am and reportedly “copped an attitude” with employees while asking for someone to call her a taxi.
However, she left before they could make the call, then came back and kept ringing the doorbell at the facility before taking off in the direction of the Post Office.
A deputy spoke with the woman at a gas station. She refused a ride or to let an officer call her a taxi. She also turned down medical assistance.
A deputy noted there was an open warrant for the woman from the Geneva PD for assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and improper handling of a firearm.
However, Scioto County is out of that police department’s pickup range, so they didn’t want to come and get her.
