Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies headed to the Speedeemart on Center Street in Wheelersburg after a caller said her drunken son was biting people and destroying the store.
Officers detained a man with a Georgia driver’s license and took him into custody for disorderly conduct.
Around 8 a.m., another Wheelersburg caller reported that her Wildemire Avenue neighbor came to her home holding a duffle bag and garden gnome and let herself into her home. The woman told the woman she was calling 9-1-1, and the woman returned home.
Officers spoke to the wandering woman’s family, who explained she’d just been released from a Columbus mental health facility. The family said they would take her to the hospital for a mental evaluation. The neighbor declined to press charges.
