Officers responding to a report of a man nodding out at the Dairy Queen on Chillicothe Street took a man and a dog into custody.
Officers detained Paul Hamilton and then booked him into the Scioto County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and possessing drug abuse instruments.
Hamilton is currently on parole for a robbery offense committed in Jackson County. He was released back in 2021 and is under the supervision of Scioto County.
