Man Busted For Assault, Resisting Arrest at Portsmouth Senior Lofts

Officers took a repeat offender into custody after witnesses reported a man acting strangely at the Portsmouth Senior Lofts on Campbell Avenue. 

Callers said the man appeared to be on drugs. When police arrived on the scene, the man put up a fight before they took him into custody. 

Officers arrested 28-year-old John Bowling on charges of resisting arrest, assault, and probation violation. This was his 8th time in the Scioto County Jail. 

Previous arrests include domestic violence, drug abuse, disorderly conduct, illegal manufacture of drugs, failure to appear, and multiple cases of probation violation.

Man Busted for 37th Time After Incident at Senior Lofts

What started out as a noise complaint at the Portsmouth Senior Lofts on Campbell Avenue ended up with a man being arrested for the 37th time. 

When officers headed to the apartment complex to investigate complaints of a woman being loud, they discovered 44-year-old Ronald Swords, who had an open warrant for driving under a suspension. Police booked him into the Scioto County Jail for the 37th time. 

Previous arrests include trafficking in drugs, parole violation, contempt, vandalism, and probation violation.
