Overdose on Armstrong Place
Officers and EMS responded to an Armstrong Pl home at 1:22 pm for a report of an overdose.
Medics from Portsmouth Ambulance treated the male patient at the scene, but he refused further assistance. The resident of the home said the man could stay with her, and she would keep an eye on him.
Passed Out at Big Lots
Officers responded to a report of a man passed out in the driver’s seat of a white pickup truck in the Big Lots Parking lot just after 6:30 pm.
Police took the man into custody – this was his 29th trip to the Scioto County Jail and his third arrest since October.
Pervious charges include violating a protection order, criminal damaging, DUI, assault, walking while intoxicated, domestic violence, and burglary. He was released on $150 bond.
Man Arrested After Passing Out at the Wheel
Just after midnight, officers responded to High Street for a report of a man passed out inside a vehicle.
At first the man refused to open the vehicle door. Police eventually arrested the driver for failure to maintain physical control of a vehicle and took him to the Scioto County Jail.
Police arranged to have the vehicle impounded and towed.
