Man Found Lying in Alley Near Skate Park
Just after 2:30 pm, a caller reported a man with a walker lying in the alley next to the skate park in Portsmouth.
An ambulance from the Portsmouth Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the man to the hospital.
Needles Discovered After Cops Search Parolee’s Home
Just after 11 am, officers headed to 7th Street to investigate reports of drug activity at a home.
A search of the home uncovered multiple hypodermic syringes. Officers also noted that the man who lived in the home was on parole.
Additionally, officers were concerned about living conditions in the home and contacted city code enforcement.
Man Busted With Fentanyl Too Sick For Jail
Portsmouth Police Officers spotted a man with an open warrant for probation violation just after noon at 11th and Offnere.
When police caught up with them, he admitted that he had fentanyl on him, and officers located a bag of the drugs in his pants pocket.
However, when they transported him to the Scioto County Jail, corrections officers refused to accept him due to a large, infected wound on his foot.
Police released him back onto the streets.
