An afternoon altercation ended in handcuffs for one man after police quickly tracked down the suspect and made an arrest.
Around 4 p.m., a man contacted Portsmouth Police to report he’d been assaulted. Officers launched a search that led them to Grandview Avenue, where they located and arrested 42-year-old Bryan Pollard. He was booked into the Scioto County Jail on a charge of assault.
Pollard appeared before a judge in Portsmouth Municipal Court and was granted a recognizance bond—meaning he was released without having to post bail. He’s due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on July 1.
