A man called 911 at 3 am to tell deputies someone kidnapped his car and held it for ransom for several days.
He said he hadn’t called the police because the thief told him he would never see his car again if he did.
He gave officers the names of potential suspects, and they tracked one of the men down in Portsmouth. The suspect returned the keys to the man and told him where his vehicle was.
