A worried sister called 911 to say her brother was staying at an area rehab but had texted saying he planned to sign out and walk out into traffic. She feared he might harm himself.
When officers spoke to the man, he admitted he told her he planned to sign out and walk down the highway to get where he was going. However, he denied wanting to harm himself.

A deputy advised him of the risk of walking down the highway and said if he planned to leave the facility, he should call a taxi or a friend to pick him up. He told officers he would consider calling a family member if he left the facility.
