A man asked Portsmouth Police to meet up with him at Speedway to report a violent domestic incident.
He said his wife had punched him in the face the night before, and he feared she was using drugs around their children.
When officers arrived, he told them she was mad at him one moment and apologizing the next. He said he’d attempted to leave, but she would follow him and make him come home. Deputies explained the steps for filing for a protection order.
